Over 1500 participants, volunteers, sponsors and organizers came out to “This Run’s For Jack” on October 16, 2011. A little rain could not dampen our determination to make a difference in the fight against melanoma!

Jack’s Marathon Teams Raise the Bar
Congratulations to all of the athletes that took to the streets this fall in the fight against melanoma. Combined, these runners raised over $115,000 and, through their outreach, increased melanoma awareness all over the U.S.

JACK’S FUND HONORED FOR ONGOING CONTRIBUTIONS
In recognition of our support, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital recently named The Jack H Marston II Melanoma Fund an honoree at the November “Derby For Life” Gala. Proceeds from the Gala benefited the Oncology Research and Education Endowment at Lutheran General.

EDUCATION AND AWARENESS EVENTS
Jack’s Fund Melanoma Education and Awareness programming is now year round. Volunteers attend and present at corporate, public and school based health and wellness programs throughout Chicagoland.

2011 "Game On" Scholarship Recipient: Dayle Comerford
The Jack H. Marston II Melanoma Fund is committed to reflecting Jack’s values of determination, tenacity, compassion and his competitive “game on” spirit.
Michael, Matthew and Jack Marston presented the scholarship at Glenbard West”s Senior Honor Convocation, May 18, 2011.
Dayle will be attending Haverford College in the fall to study economics, psychology and play softball.
