As it has been from the start, "This Run's For Jack" is a unique donation race. Donations from the 5K go to fund melanoma research and awareness programs.

A gathering place for families who have been affected by melanoma. The tent serves as a place of respite offering food, coffee and friendship.
All entries received by October 1st are guaranteed a T-shirt.
Saturday, October 15, 9am-4pm at Ackerman Sports Center, 800 St. Charles Rd. in Glen Ellyn.
Participants who have pre-registered by noon on Friday, October 14 can pick up a race packet at this time.
PLEASE NOTE: If you register online after noon on Friday, October 14, you must wait until race day to pick up your packet.
Avoid the parking congestion at Ackerman and jump on the shuttle bus located in town Glen Ellyn (5 minutes away).

Enter Ackerman Park at the EAST entrance near the water tower. This is also the drop-off point. Overflow parking info at http://www.jacksfund.org. Carpooling, biking, and walking are encouraged.

CHANGE: Runners only will receive a chip embedded in the bib number. As you cross the start and finish lines, your time will be recorded. PLEASE do not forget your bib at home. Walker will not receive a timing chip unless specifically requested at registration.

Thanks to all who made this year’s run a huge success! On a beautiful Sunday morning, 1,500 people gathered at Ackerman Park in Glen Ellyn to participate in the 7th annual "This Run's For Jack" 5K.

Jack Marston was an avid runner and four-time Chicago Marathon participant. Jack lost his battle to melanoma on July 12th, 2004. In honor of Jack, the countless hours he gave to the community, his athletic successes and the four marathons he ran (one for each of his children), This Run’s for Jack.
